Siemens SIMOPRIME is a medium-voltage switchgear solution available in 17.5 kV and 24 kV configurations. While both versions are designed around the same focus on safety, service continuity, and reliable operation, their specifications and configuration options are suited to different system requirements.

Different Configurations for Different Requirements
The SIMOPRIME 17.5 kV offers flexibility through its cassette or truck-type withdrawable configurations, with internal arc testing up to 40 kA for 1 second.
The SIMOPRIME 24 kV provides a higher voltage capability of up to 24 kV and supports busbar currents up to 2,500 A, making it suitable for systems requiring a higher rated voltage.

Despite their differences, both versions incorporate features designed around safe and reliable operation. These include LSC2B service continuity, metallic and earthed partitions, internal arc-tested construction, and vacuum circuit breakers designed to minimize maintenance requirements.
The high-voltage door also remains closed during switching operations, supporting safer operation for personnel working with the switchgear.
Choosing the Right Siemens Medium-Voltage Switchgear
The right configuration depends on your system voltage, current requirements, protection needs, and application. Understanding these requirements is an important step when selecting medium-voltage switchgear for an industrial power system.
